Cynthia Bleskacheck studied music at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. She graduated cum laude with a BA in vocal performance in 2001. While attending college, she worked as a student professional with the St. John's Boy's Choir, teaching music theory, private voice, and recorder lessons. Cynthia also participated in several choirs, small ensembles, and opera workshops. Having orginally planned to become a classroom music teacher, Cynthia completed substantial coursework and fieldwork in education before deciding that private teaching was a better fit. She enjoys the opportunity to pass along her knowledge of and passion for singing in a one-on one setting where it is possible to set personalized goals for each student.

In addition to teaching at Son-Sheim, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys and participating in running events. She has completed a full marathon, a half marathon and several marathon relays and hopes to do more in the future.
